The Loose Women star says she has been inundated with messages from Britons with problems in the bedroom after three months in constant contact with their partners. The former singer, who is an agony aunt for Daily Express sister title the Daily Mirror, has launched a survey to find out the strengths and struggles couples have faced during this strange time – before dishing out her advice for the problems most faced.
Some have found their relationship under strain, she says, but many other couples are thriving as lockdown forces partners to spend more time together.
Coleen said: “There’s no doubt it’s a challenging time for lovers, whether you’re in lockdown together or isolating apart.
“I’ve had letters from people determined to leave their partners when the lockdown is over, while others want to know how to repair the bits of their relationship that aren’t working.
“Lots of people living apart from their partner are struggling with loneliness and missing sexual intimacy, while others want advice on ending their relationship.. in the nicest possible way!
“Sex has been a big talking point for readers. What if you’re in lockdown with your partner, but your love life is in a rut or your sex drives are incompatible? You can hardly make the excuse that you’re working late at the office!
“On the upside, being in lockdown together has given some couples’ sex lives an unexpected boost and they want to know how to keep the passion going when life returns to normal.
“So, are you fed up with your other half or more in love than ever? Has sex gone off the boil or reached new heights of ecstasy? If you’re apart from your partner, have you found new ways to keep love and sex alive?
“Please take five minutes to fill in my survey – I’m really interested to find out how love in lockdown is going for you.”
The survey, above, is open until 9am Monday June 29, and the results will be shared when they are in.
