Now that lockdown restrictions have eased and people have started dating again, many Brits are enjoying a summer of sex after putting their love lives on hold during the coronavirus pandemic.
However, it seems that despite Brits getting used to face masks, they aren't wearing protection in the bedroom.
So much so, that the UK has named Europe's Gonorrhoea capital.
New research released today by Supplement Place has revealed multiple STI hotspots in the UK, comparing cases across the country to those in neighbouring European countries.
With 93.2 cases per 100,000 people, the UK takes the hotspot in Europe for gonorrhoea.
It is also number four on the list for chlamydia, with 365.7 cases per 100,000 people. Only beating the UK is Norway (501.5, Iceland (526.6) and Denmark (578).
UK is also number three on the list for syphilis, with 12.6 cases per 100,000 people.
According to the data, Lambeth has the highest rates of STI in all of England, with 3,915 diagnoses per 100,000 people.
In fact, the UK’s top 10 areas with the highest STI diagnosis rates for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis and HIV are all in Greater London.

While 9/10 of the UK’s genital herpes hotspots are in Greater London, Blackpool comes in as the 10th genital herpes hotspot in the UK.
Meanwhile, Rushmoor, Hampshire, is the only area outside of Greater London to finish in the top 10 table for genital warts.

The data comes after doctors warned Brits to get sexual health tests as a post-lockdown STI boom is expected.
Doctors in the UK are worried that a sexually transmitted disease boom is on its way now that pubs and bars have re-opened as they see a rise in cases of unprotected sex.
