There are three moves you need to do; first, stand in a doorway holding onto the wall; next, cross one leg over the knee; and then squat down.
You will need to hold this stretch for 15 seconds, and it’s best to repeat the stretch three times on each side.
That means you will need to cross your other leg over the other knee to do the stretch on the other side.
“Stop if it causes pain,” the chiropractor advised, adding the disclaimer: “This is a recommendation and should not be taken as medical advice.”

Dr Khodian added: “Always consult a physician prior to trying any exercise.”
If given the go-ahead, Dr Khodian said that this stretch “can also be done seated or laying down”.
Causes of lower back pain
The NHS says a common cause for back pain is a pulled muscle, a slipped disc, sciatica, or ankylosing spondylitis.
In usual cases, back pain may resolve itself in a few weeks if you adhere to the following advice.

The health body recommends staying active by continuing with your daily activities.
Anti-inflammatory medication, such as ibuprofen, can be helpful in the meantime.
Other pain management tools include using an ice pack on the lower back, or using a heat pack.
The NHS adds: “Try doing some exercises and stretches for back pain.”
One thing you must not do, however, is stay in bed for long periods of time.
The NHS strongly advises against this as it could make your lower back pain worse.
“Activities like walking, swimming, yoga and pilates may also help ease back pain,” the NHS adds.
If you are suffering from long-term lower back pain, do consult with a GP or chiropractor.
