In a 2011 study Eclipta alba extract (bhringraj) was shown to be effective at fighting bacteria and fungus.
This meant it could also be helpful in treating certain bacterial infections.
Another study done on male albino rats showed that using bhringraj oil helped to increase the number of hair follicles and was actually more effective than minoxidil at preventing hair loss.
This study needed to be repeated in humans for it to be more conclusive although it does show promise to be effective in helping to combat hair loss.
False daisy contains vitamin E which is known to fight free radicals which can impede hair growth.
False daisy also has antimicrobial and antifungal properties which can help reduce dandruff.
