Allscripts has relaunched its Application Store as the Allscripts App Expo. The rebrand is designed to ensure clients have an engaging way to identify all applications that have been built and certified through the Allscripts Developer Program using Allscripts proprietary and FHIR APIs, in addition to select third-party technologies, the EHR and other health IT company explained.
Previously, only certain partner applications were searchable and featured on the company’s Application Store. With the new expansion, Allscripts provides the opportunity for all active developers with a certified app to showcase their app online via the App Expo.
Connect with multiple Allscripts EHRs, PM systems
Allscripts first exposed APIs for third-party connectivity in 2007 and launched a full developer program to support interoperability with Allscripts products and the application store in 2010. The company’s developer program enables developers to connect with multiple Allscripts electronic health records and practice management systems.
Today there are hundreds of certified apps and devices available for Allscripts clients to choose from, with new certified apps frequently added to the site, the company reported.
“The new App Expo is just the latest step toward making it easier for our clients to find solutions that will continue to help them improve their technology ecosystem and accomplish their practice and health system goals,” said Tina Joros, vice president and general manager at Allscripts.
Allscripts is at HIMSS22 in Booth 1279.
Faster and more accurate diagnoses
HUB Security has partnered with Enlitic to secure health data in AI-driven applications across healthcare with the aim of helping clinicians make faster and more accurate diagnoses.
HUB Security leverages a new security paradigm centered on confidential computing to provide a secure, isolated environment that protects the integrity and privacy of the AI models and data, making the insights safely available to all parties, the company said.
“Advancements in healthcare are being held back by the insecurity of data and, together with Enlitic, we can secure and operationalize that data to help healthcare providers improve patients’ lives across the globe,” said David Hochhauser, CRO at HUB Security. “The larger we can make the data pool, the more we can reduce the bias that comes with using limited pools of information and the better insights we can provide to enhance patient care.”
Enlitic standardizes data sets that have been traditionally siloed and connects them across health systems, resulting in AI applications like medical imaging analysis and predictive analytics, the company explained.
De-identification and anonymization AI models
Enlitic’s expandable AI technology connects relevant clinical data through its real-world common data model platform Curie. Enlitic’s de-identification and anonymization AI models protect PHI across all relevant clinical content, the company contended.
“Enlitic has dedicated itself to creating insights that help healthcare providers across all specialties collaborate with relevant clinical content that can be linked across disparate care systems,” said James Conyers, CEO of Enlitic. “With HUB Security in our corner, we can tackle larger data sets and protect everything from the patients’ data to clinicians accessing the AI models.”
HUB Security is at HIMSS22 in Booth 1165. Enlitic is in Booth 1065.
